PASSENGER VEHICLE DRIVER
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Previous experience driving passenger vans or similar vehicles preferred.
- Excellent driving skills, with a strong emphasis on safety and defensive driving techniques.
- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in various situations.
- Must pass a background check
PRIMARY FUNCTION: The passenger vehicle driver will be responsible for safely transporting students to and from designated locations. The ideal candidate will prioritize the safety and well-being of passengers while maintaining a punctual schedule.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Safely transport students to and from school-related activities, such as field trips, athletic events, and other off-campus events.
- Ensure the safety of passengers by adhering to all traffic laws and regulations, as well as school policies and procedures related to transportation.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the passenger vehicle to ensure it is in proper working condition, reporting any issues to the director of transportation.
- Communicate effectively with passengers to provide information about pick-up and drop-off times, routes, and any other relevant details.
- Respond calmly and effectively to any emergencies or unexpected situations that may arise during transportation.
- Attend training sessions and meetings as required by the school administration.
