QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma
- Have the ability to work with a diversity of individuals.
- Demonstrate an aptitude for the successful performance of tasks listed.
- Background checks required for final candidates.
- Any requirements to the above qualifications that the board may find acceptable and appropriate.
PRIMARY FUNCTION: To prepare and serve the students nutritious meals in an atmosphere of courtesy, efficiency and cleanliness.
REPORTS TO: Food Service Director
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assists in the preparation and serving of food in a quick and pleasant manner.
- Helps with baking.
- Prepares food according to a planned menu and determines if the finished product is of the best quality both in flavor and appearance before it is served.
- Assumes responsibility for seeing that during meal service periods the supply of food offered is replenished regularly.
- Shows proper care and consideration for all equipment.
- Assists in the daily clean up of the kitchen and service areas.
- Assumes responsibility for storage and disposal of unused foods.
- Move and lift from 40-60 lbs. Of commodities, food, goods, cases and other materials as necessary.
- Follows proper sanitation requirements.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
The Board shall offer a letter of agreement with wages and benefits to be determined by the board as delineated in the Classified Employee Handbook.
EVALUATION PROCEDURE:
This position is responsible to the Food Service Director and the performance of this position will be evaluated by the Food Service Director.
